This stoneware mug was thrown on the wheel and fired in a wood/soda kiln to about cone 12, or ~2400°F.
It’s decorated with a satin white glaze on the inside, and a slip on the exterior. It was fired in a more protected area of the kiln which led to a quiet, stony surface dappled with flecks of melted wood ash.
