This stoneware tumbler was thrown on the wheel and fired in a wood kiln to about cone 12, or ~2400°F.  

It’s lined with a shino glaze on the inside & outside. This tumbler was almost entirely coated with melted wood ash, except for a dramatic streak of glaze which must have been protected by another pot in the firing, or a kiln post.
