This mug was thrown on the wheel and fired in a gas soda kiln to about cone 3, or ~2100°F.
It’s decorated with a satin white glaze on the inside, and a warm sandy colored slip on the exterior. This mug is one of the more successful tests from research I was doing this past summer on lower-temperature soda firings.
